Refund policy

1. Cancellations

1.1 Once an order is shipped, it cannot be cancelled. Orders typically ship in 1-3 business days after they are placed. To cancel your order, please email us at support@cartechstudio.comcontact us on the Contact Us Page, or WhatsApp us at +15512770847; please include your order number.

1.2.1 If you cancel within 7 days of placing your order and before it has been processed, you will receive a 100% refund and no cancellation fee will be applied.

1.2.2 However, if you cancel after 7 days of placing your order or after it has been processed, a 10% cancellation fee will apply due to handling and payment processor's fees. The fee will apply regardless of the reason, including compatibility issues.

1.3 The refund will be processed to your original payment method, which may take 3-10 business days.

2. Replacements

2.1 If it has been more than 30 days since your delivery date, we cannot offer a replacement except for warranty-related issues (please refer to warranty policy at the end of this page). To request a replacement, please email us at support@cartechstudio.comcontact us on the Contact Us Page, or WhatsApp us at +15512770847; please include your order number and reason for replacement.

2.2.1 If the product is incorrect, damaged by the carrier, or defective, Car Tech Studio will be responsible for extra shipping costs, and any restocking/repackaging fee will be waived. Car Tech Studio will require images and/or videos as proof.

2.2.2 However if the customer purchased the wrong product, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs, which are non-refundable (consider using a trackable shipping service). Car Tech Studio will also require a 10% restocking/repackaging fee.

2.2.3 In all of the above cases, Car Tech Studio will conduct a thorough assessment of the product upon its return to our facility. If the product is confirmed to be damaged, a corresponding damage fee will be applied to the customer. Replacement will then be delivered within 6-8 business days.

3. Returns & Refunds

3.1 If it has been more than 30 days since your delivery date, we cannot offer a return, except for warranty-related issues (please refer to warranty policy at the end of this page). 3.2 If eligible for a return, the refund will be calculated as the original product price, minus 5% payment processor fee, minus 10% restocking/repackaging fee (if applicable), minus any damage assessment.

3.3.1 If the product is incorrect, damaged by the carrier, defective, or has compatibility issues, Car Tech Studio will be responsible for return shipping costs, and the restocking/repackaging fee will be waived. Car Tech Studio will require images and/or videos as proof.

3.3.2 However if the customer purchased the wrong product, does not like the product, or the product doesn't work as they expected, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs, which are non-refundable (consider using a trackable shipping service). Car Tech Studio will also require a 10% restocking/repackaging fee.

3.3.3 Finally, we do not accept returns due to the customer's inability to install the product. It is the customer's responsibility to install the unit and seek professional help if needed.

3.3.4 In all of the above cases, Car Tech Studio will conduct a thorough assessment of the product upon its return to our facility. If the product is confirmed to be damaged, a corresponding damage fee will be applied to the customer.

3.4 Selling the vehicle or its unavailability is not a valid return reason. You can sell the module separately or with the vehicle.

3.5 Once we receive your return and inspect it, we will notify you of its receipt and approval of the refund. The refund will be processed to your original payment method, which may take 3-10 business days. If you haven't received a refund, please check your bank account and contact your card issuer and bank. If necessary, contact us for further assistance.

3.6 During checkout, please ensure your order details and applicable discounts are correct, as we cannot apply or refund discounts after the order is placed.

3.7 Our products are specifically customized based on customers' car.

4. Warranty Policy

In the unlikely event where any manufacturing or material defect has occurred due to unforeseen reasons, our products are all covered by a 1-year warranty.

At Car Tech Studio’s discretion, this warranty obligation is limited to repair of defective product or replacement of the defective part, or replacement or refund according to the price of the product at the time of repair or replacement.

The products warranty is provided against defects in materials and workmanship under regular consumer use for one year from the date of receipt of product. If the product proves defective during the warranty period, and you follow the instructions that we will provide to you for returning the product, we will, at our decision, take one of the following actions:

  1. Replace the product with either a new or a refurbished product that is the same as or similar to the product you purchased;
  2. Repair the product using either new or refurbished parts at our authorized repair center; or
  3. Refund to you the purchase price of the product according to market price of the product.

There is no assurance, representation or warranty that any replacement product will be identical to or will offer the same functionalities as the product returned to Us. Technological advances and product availability may result in your receiving a replacement product with a lower selling price than the original product you purchased. In all cases, product comparability will be determined by Us at our sole discretion.

Car Tech Studio will reimburse up to a maximum of $10 for return shipping wherein a warranty claim is within the terms of this policy.

All claim under this warranty are subject to presentation of original sales invoice or warranty card. In case these documents are not available, or the product serial numbers are removed, defaced, illegible or tampered, the company reserves the right to decline the claim. Also, if any of the seals on the enclosure are broken or show evidence of tampering.

The following exceptions also apply to the warranty:

  • Periodic checks, maintenance, repair and replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear, replacement of consumables such as batteries, light bulbs, fuses, antennas, headphone or microphone jacks, cables and recording/reading heads.
  • Abuse or neglect, misuse, including but not solely limited to the failure to use this product for its normal purposes or according to the Company’s instructions on usage or resulting from usage of the product in conjunction with accessories that are not approved by the Company for use with this product.
  • Failure of the product arising from incorrect installation or installations at unauthorized/non-professional centers. Use not consistent with the instructions and technical or safety standards prescribed in the product user manual. Unauthorized modifications, alterations, or repairs carried out to the products.
  • This warranty is non-transferable to any subsequent purchaser or recipient of the products and only apply to the original purchaser of the products.
  • Accidents, acts of God, fire or other external causes, lightning, water, public disturbances, improper ventilation or insulation voltage surges or any cause beyond the control of the Company.

The company does not take any liability for the loss of data stored/saved in the products that are either repaired or replaced or any logistical costs, cost of accessories, installation, removal or re-installation charges, incidental or indirect damages beyond the current value of the product itself.
